This week's idol blogging

Ok, my friend Brad put a comment on my MySpace profile asking me to stop blogging about American Idol. But he's just going to have to suck it up, because here I go again.

My DVR apparently doesn't want me to watch Idol either. For some reason, it didn't record on Tuesday. But I found some guy who illegally posted the clips of each performance on the web, so I was able to watch them.

I thought Elliott and Chris were clearly the best. Elliott, I think, has officially become my favorite contestant.

And Kellie was clearly the worst and deserved her fate of being sent home, surprised as I may have been that she actually was.

So we're down to 5. I don't want Katherine to win, but she's not horrible. Of the rest, I'd really be fine with any of them winning.

Finally

The time has come to let you all know what's been up. I'm starting a new job tomorrow at an immigration law firm. I previously was working at another law firm, but restructuring left me on the outside looking in, and I was without a job as of last Friday. But I accepted the offer this morning and start tomorrow.

This is another paralegal position, but it's more significant work, and I won't be the glorified secretary I was at my last job. It also probably means that blogging will probably become primarily an evening activity for me, but really, people shouldn't blog at work anyway, right?

I'm optimistic about this job and feel it will be much more rewarding work and a much better atmosphere. For what it's worth, I'm feeling pretty good about life at the moment.

Hang in there.....

Just another quick note... This week has been busier for me than expected and I've still been having trouble finding time to blog. I hope to be back at it in the next few days. More to come!
