That was pretty good. I still have no idea what progressive rock is or why it is even called progressive.

And, so I take it you are a fan of Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Metallica, Genesis, Symphony X, Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Queensryche and King Crimson?
By the way, Operation Livecrime was on VH1-classic yesterday, the full 1988 version of the album. It was on simulateously to the best show on television, Supergrouop.

I don't get it. Is Ted trying to be funny and failing, or is he trying to be serious and just reinforcing Justin's point?
Genesis? Hate to tell you, Ted, but once Peter Gabriel left -- before you were born -- the band turned into a pop group. The only bands listed that can even be considered decent are Pink Floyd, Queensryche, Black Sabbath, Metallica, Megadeth, and -- with the exception of Pink Floyd -- most people would consider them more metal than progressive rock.
Pink Floyd's just a classic rock band.
The only thing Ted said that I agree with is that Supergroup is a good show.
Oh. Jethro Tull sucks too.

And don't get me started on Marillion.
Pink Floyd's "Atom Heart Mother Suite," "Animals," "Darkside of the Moon," "Obscured By Clouds," etc. is all progressive rock.
Genesis had about 8 great albums with Peter Gabriel. Check out Foxtrot, Selling England By the Pound, The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway, Trespass, etc.
