Ed Gillespie..... Dizzy?

This is what RNC Chairman Ed Gillespie had to say on "Wolf Blitzer Reports" last night when asked what he knew about the 60 Minutes report before it aired...

BLITZER: You mean you didn't know that Ben Barnes was giving an interview to "60 MINUTES" to Dan Rather days before that aired?

GILLESPIE: I think I heard it the day before.

The day before? Is Gillespie a liar, or is he incompetent? Salon was reporting it on September 1.... http://www.salon.com/news/feature/2004/09/01/barnes60minutes/

Gillespie either needs to admit he was lying, or the Republicans might want to consider canning him. If Terry McAulliffe didn't know about this story at least a week ahead of time, I know I would have wanted the DNC to boot him.
